Dr. Joseph is a Board certified pulmonary, critical care and sleep specialist. He has over 23 years of clinical experience in Augusta, Georgia. Dr. Joseph's training was at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center and North Shore University Hospital in New York. He has been Medical Director of the ICU, Sleep labs and Respiratory therapy department over the years. Dr. Joseph has numerous presentations at national and international conferences. His current areas of interest include Interventional Bronchoscopy with an emphasis on Lung Cancer and Sleep Medicine. He has performed over 10,000 bronchoscopies and has done over 1,000 navigational bronchoscopies to date. He enjoys Complex Pulmonary Consults and has been a consultant for numerous entities in the past. His hobbies include tennis, swimming, soccer and family time.
JULIE BUIRD, PA-C
Physician Assistant
Julie Buird PA-C is a certified Physician Assistant who is a native of Augusta. She graduated from the Medical College of Georgia in 2007. She has several years of clinical experience in internal, pulmonary and sleep medicine having trained with Dr. Carmel Joseph for many years. Julie has been an active advocate for teaching new PA students and other medical professionals. She has been affiliated with University hospital, Doctors hospital and the Medical College of Georgia. Her hobbies include tennis, traveling with her daughter, baking and relaxing with her family.

Lead Sleep Lab Tech
Stuart is a highly experienced sleep tech with a respiratory therapy background. Stuart has over 25 years of clinical experience in sleep medicine and loves the complex sleep patient. He has been an educator of numerous respiratory therapy and sleep students. Stuart enjoys cars, music and family time.
